I think I am going through a slump. I have not been making running a priority in my schedule and the result has been a big drop in mileage. I have been having a few aches and pains but not to the point that I should be cutting back this much. Today is another example of this I didn't get my run started on schedule and had to cut it real short. Since I didn't have much time I went for quality vs quanity. I did a 2 mile time trail (sort of since I was on a treadmill and the max speed is 6 min miles). I did the first mile around 6:20 then ed it up to 6:00 min pace for the second. It felt good and let me know that the base building is paying off. I just have to get back in the grove and start putting in the miles again. I have a lot of things scheduled travel wise the next few weeks so I am going to have to really push to stay on track. Hopefully I can accomplish that tomorrow. 29:09 |
