I got back home real late last night (around 1:00am) so I was pretty tired this morning. It rained last night but had stopped and cleared off by the time I got out. It was around 50 but windy. I felt good this morning other than some tightness/soreness in my right hamstring. This has been bothering me some the last few days so will try some stretching/massaging to see if that helps. I did 7 x strides at the end of the run.

Great to see you still plugging away. I still can't get over your 1/2 marathon time- you really nailed it. I think you have a great shot at that bq. Hopefully things will come together this time.

Dave, thanks! I feel like I have better figured out the shorter stuff than the marathon plus think I may be more turned to 10k/half races. It may be that I just need the training to kick in on the longer races. I feel better going into the next marathon since I will adjust my plan. Since I am over 40 3:20 is the BQ and I went out faster than this at Chicago more like 3:12 pace. For Huntsville I am going to go out more conservatively and see if I have something left at the end. I just need to make sure I stick to the plan! I have been know to get a little carried away early. My thoughts are to be sure to get the BQ and then work on a faster marathon later.

You are doing a great job keeping the training going. This can be a tough time of year as the weather gets worse and no races to look forward to. It will make a huge difference come Spring.

Great run and glad you got home safely. Keep up the great training and the BQ will come in Huntsville. Watch the hammy (I too am noticing mine) and it should be ok.
