Great morning to run today (43, calm, sunny). It was the best that I have felt since the marathon. My legs don't have any more soreness in them and my pace was almost back to normal. My legs do still feel weak though. I feel like I have been recovering pretty well. I will still take it easy next week as well to make sure that I am fully recovered before I get back into the training mode.

Looks like you are recovering extremely fast! I bet you wished that you had this morning's weather during your marathon.

I'm fairly new to running and I am always amazed how big of an impact heat and humidity have on pace. This damn global warming is a BQ killer. Who would have imagined 10-20 years ago that Chicago will have 80F or more in the middle of October for two years in a row? And not just that, also no one is really shocked by it now.

Yes, I would love to have one of these cool mornings for Chicago. I'm sure all runners are effected by the warmer temps but it seems to hit me pretty hard. Every race I have had in warm weather has been bad. As I get older I don't think the body can handle it as well. I think you are right I am going to start looking for Nov marathons. Doesn't seem like you can count on the weather in Oct anymore.
