Garmin-less runs are great! Nice nap yesterday :) Enjoy the taper.

Nice and simple...That's good :-)

Like it. Also, probably a good call not to do 13 pace-miles after a pretty good 10k effort on Saturday.

Is this going to be a JG-taper, where you don't run for a week or two and then, presto, pop off a sub-3 marathon?

From JG on Tue, Oct 04, 2011 at 14:52:15 from 71.59.27.33

Yes Dan, I need to run without it more often!

IJR - A nice and simple sub 3 would be nice! I actually rewrote my pace plan last night geared at a 2:56! :)

Thx Joe, it was a tough choice, but I think I made the right one! It is always the afterthought that makes me mad ... when I read about the race, they also had a 5k where if you beat the karhu Bear, you got a free pair of running shoes, Bear finished in 19:5?, only got beat by 1 14 year old who won in 19:4? ... so if I would have just signed up for the 5k, I would have had my first overall win (probably a trophy),and most importantly, a new pair of shoes!

Oh well, live and learn!

Funny you should ask about my taper, I came up with it last night, it officially started today with a day of rest! :)

Ahhh...now I know how you do it...speak it and it comes true. So here it goes "I'm going to run a 3:16 marathon"! Wow, that was easy!!

PS...I like your new taper starts :-)
