nice slow run just around logan today.  Felt pretty good, just a moderate pace with lots of hills in the run.  That's one love/hate I have about Logan, or at least living on campus.  I ALWAYS have hills in my run since I live on top of one.  Anyway, good run today.

6 miles hard today.  Feeling faster and faster.  Hopefully I can get some more mileage in this weekendish.  Prepping for exams is a beast though.  Especially when you are taking trigonometry, college algebra and chemistry.  Felt good today though.

5 miles of hills and conditioning type run today.  Found all the toughest hills I could find within a short distance and ran them as hard as I could without stopping and trying not to slow down more than gravity forced me to.  Definitely got some vo2 max time in.  Also did 2x200's on the track at 29 seconds apiece.    Good run today.  will take it a little easier tomorrow because I am gonna run the TOU 5K on Saturday...that is if they will still let me register tomorrow.

Hmmm... well, not gonna lie this race sucked really bad.  started out too fast first of all trying to hang onto Paul and Cody at least for a little while and ended up running the first mile way too hard (even though by time it shouldn't have been that bad) resulting in the last half of the race being absolutely terrible.  I need to quit getting so excited and thinking I am back in high school and starting out like I'm gonna run a 15:45.  Plus for some reason my mental toughness is down the toilet right now and I have a hard time forcing myself to go hard at it when I'm feeling like crap.  So I just need to work on that...a lot.

On the bright side I met Paul, Cody and Jon today and am going to start training with them as much as I can.  It will be good to have other people to run with and motivate me and all that good stuff.  Plus they are all marathon gurus and full of sage advice on how to run St. George which is great considering I don't really know what to expect from the marathon.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to some good times with them. Oh, and my Aggies absolutely DESTROYED Idaho today so that was a plus to the day too.  :)  now if they can just win another one somewhere...
