12.4 mile loop followed by 5x100 m accels barefoot on the Quad.  I was debating on running a "midnight 5k" for A-Week just as a tempo run, but my legs just didn't have it in them today.  Hopefully after tomorrow's recovery I'll have that 22 miler out of my legs.

You should come out to the track meet on Saturday and run the 5K unattached.

Are you talking about the USU one? I'd get my pants kicked! haha I haven't done much with any kind of speed for a long time. I hope to start doing a bit more soon, as soon as my body gets more used to the mileage. I think I'm almost there. I will probably go watch on Saturday though. I haven't yet been to a meet up here. How lame is that?

From Jon on Wed, Apr 14, 2010 at 21:50:15 from 75.169.142.62

I might go watch, too, Joe.

I actually had no idea that civilians could run in it. Perhaps if I would have known that I would have planned for it. As it stands I highly doubt I could break 16:40 which means I'd probably get lapped about 14 times in a 12.5 lap race--and that's if my legs were fresh. But I will try to be there to watch Paul and Ruth at least.

From Jon on Thu, Apr 15, 2010 at 00:12:43 from 75.169.142.62

16:40? That's my PR, almost. I definitely better not run.

Civilians? I guess that's one way to put it. They must be teaching you college students different than they did me, though- unless you're in ROTC.

From Predog on Thu, Apr 15, 2010 at 00:34:13 from 174.27.183.108

well the 16:40 just came from the only other time I did a 5k with anything like the training I'm doing now, and that's not saying I could even do that.

as for civilians, I couldn't think of a better word at the moment. Non-athlete? That doesn't make much sense either..at least I hope not!
