My mother forced me to start running as a freshman in high school.. and as much as I hate to admit it, I actually ended up liking it. Graduated from Pine View High School in 2013 and, after a yearlong hiatus, I am now running again, this time for USU, where I'm working on a composite Elementary Ed/Deaf Ed major.

Shoe run w/ Costco added on at the end. Today was a really great run. It was fun to see Nicole out again and we all ran together for the most part. Mia had to leave us partway through but we picked up Jared and had even numbers again. (: I felt really good during this run, probably because Stoner and I found golf balls and we bounced them in rhythm with each other for most of the run.. so I kinda forgot I was even running. Stoner and I also realized what great captains we're going to be next year.. sophomores and freshies better watch out. (: We did step-lifting after.

Green Springs loop. Today after some debate, we finally decided on Green Springs. It was a good run. We added on the second half of the DI loop to get to 8 miles. The weather was really nice and we all ran together. It was nice.

Shoe Run. Today, Stoner and I experienced something that we never thought would happen.. Kaylee told US to slow down. Craziest thing of my life. I will admit, we got a little carried away and probably went faster than we needed to. The group broke up into like 3 sub-groups. The weather was warm for the first half, but by the time we got to the pond it was chilly. The run felt really good. I'm loving that winter hasn't even really come and it's already February.

Trail Thursday. We went out to the airport trail today. It was way fun. The trail was great because it wasn't really all up or all down one way. It was both. And even though Stoner went a lil bit crazy and took off.. it felt really good. It was warm outside and I didn't feel dead like I usually do on trails. I would definitely do this run again willingly.

Hospital. I was really not looking forward to the hill.. but the run was feeling really really good up until we got there, so I was thinking positively. When we started up the hill, I was fine. Then we got almost to the top and my legs developed cancer or something. And I couldn't move them very well anymore. Then the water at the park didn't work.. and then we had to run up Industrial.. and after that, it just wasn't a very good day. So this run started out pretty well.. and then (in the words of my sister) "took a detour to heck."
