Ran with mi madre in the rain! It's not every day you can run at noon in St. George without collapsing in a puddle of sweat and misery, so I took advantage of it. The rain felt wayy good and it felt good to be out running. Something's up with my hip though.. today when I was mowing greens I turned the mower and this sharp pain went through my hip. It was only for a second though. It was like I popped it, but it hurt way worse. It happened a couple times during the run too, but only once did it hurt as bad as it did on the golf course. So, don't know what's going on there. Left my mom just after we passed the golf course, and ran down to the Christian church by Quail Ridge, turned there, ran down Quail Ridge Drive til it connected with Fairway, then ran down Fairway til Silverstone IV. Then I got on the main road and ran back to my house. While I was on Quail Ridge, I was thinking about this season, mainly state. I really don't want to let my head mess up my last season of XC. Anyway, I was thinking about running at state, and just kinda imagining what it's gonna be like and stuff. Then I kinda snapped out of it, and realized how fast I was going. I mean, I didn't have a GPS or anything to know what pace I was going, but it felt like I was flying. I was breathing really hard too, but that might have been because of the rain, cause that happens. I tried to keep going that fast, but it was kinda hard after I'd realized what I was doing, cause I was actually pretty tired. But it was kinda a cool experience for me.. maybe if I can do that in races, it would help. My dad's been trying to tell me to do that since I started XC, but I keep telling him that obviously I know everything there is to know about anything, especially running. Maybe I should start listening to him. I probably won't, but ya know. I can always say I'm going to. |
