Ran the 1600 and the 400 today. The 1600 was just not good. But I talked to Coach about it afterward, and he helped me a lot to stop stressing. I'm going to focus on the medley tomorrow and just let the mile be what it was. The 400 was pretty good.. I ran a 1:04.74. My times are pretty much always right around 1:04, so it was a lot like the others in terms of time, but I felt much stronger at the end of this race. I had taken it a bit slower the first 200 than usual, which gave me a lot more left to use at the end. Now I just need to figure out how to do what I did at the end of this race for the entire race. |
