Alright, I'm taking the time to catch-up here. I'm trying not to let my miles per week go up by more than 10 percent. I'm looking forward to breaking out of doing so many three mile runs, but if doing this keeps me from getting injured than I'm willing to do it. I'm not as young as I used to be...
I'm running consistently around an 8:30-8:45 average. I didn't start blogging here until three months after my last baby was born. I'm interested to see where I'm at in a month compared to where I was at with my last baby.
One of the things I have a hard time finding time for these days is reading books. So I got a book on tape to listen to while I run. I ran with The Help today. It didn't have quite the oomph-giving power as music, but I think on non-challenging days it will be a good way to enjoy two things I love at the same time. Our world is such a crazy technological multi-tasking place!!
My legs need to get stronger for sure. Next week I'll run 5 days, but have a 6 mile day in there to build up strength. I want to start doing the cannon ball cooldown if I can find time after my run. I did a few of the exercises last night and it felt awesome.
Planned on going 6. Half-way through I thought 5 sounded good. Decided my brain needed to be told that it doesn't get to change its mind just because my body is uncomfortable. Did the 6.
My plan for this week was that I was supposed to not run today. But how can I not run when the husband is perfectly willing to watch the kids while I run? So I ran. But my achilles is achy. I'm worried about that. But I can't make myself not run. Ridiculous.
