Ran at the X-C park, HOT and HUMID! Got there early enough to run 3 miles before the races started. Ran the first two as a warm up; 8:13, 7:42, then a hard last mile in 5:45. Ran the 1 mile race with my girls and they finished youngest to oldest, with Avy (6) clocking a 10:30. Ran the 3 mile race in 19:26 splits of 6:06, 6:44, and 6:35. I was hoping to have more legs in the last mile but it wasn't there. I ran the 2 mile race as a cooldown, but I did neg split, 7:53, 7:23. Another great night of running in Huntsville.

As far as daily mileage, I'm not sure how high I'm going to go. I figured I'd keep upping it for another couple of weeks, then start hitting some weekly or biweekly long runs, hopefully getting those up to 25-35 miles. The ultimate goal of all of this being the Pinhoti 100 in November. It looks like your getting some solid training yourself; what are you getting ready for?

Amendment to my previous post:

Are you training for anything past your mile record attempt? How do you feel about how your mile training is going?

I'm leading the HTC Grand Prix Masters at this time so I'm getting in the runs I need to finish well to keep acruing points. I'm racing the Wet Dog Tri this Sat, the morning after my mile attempt, and I'll probably do the Sprint Tri in huntsville next month. After the mile goal is met the second goal for the year is a sub 3 at Rocket City
