Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

7:45am...I slept in a bit today and waited for the temperature to warm up (39 degrees when I awoke).  7 miles with Moxie along Sunnyside on a beautiful morning in 48:50.  Then back home and my family and I went to Community Park to run laps around the path and I finished off 4.25 miles running with each person.

Now for a BBQ today with my parents and uncle and Aunt who are visiting from California.  A good Father's day!  (Mirage Red)

4:30am...6 easy untimed miles with Moxie along Sunnyside.  Back was stiff today, nearly didn't make it out and I did not think I would make 6.  (Ride 3)

6 miles in 43:51 at lunch on a cool and windy day.  Ran the first 3 miles with Dan then solo the rest of the way.  Now to start to taper for Saturday's race.  (Mirage Red)

I slept in and went out with the kids on a nice morning.  2 miles really easy with Katelyn helping her with her form then back out for 4 more with Justin easy having a good talk. 6 miles total for a easy taper day. (Fatwitch Red)

RONR...here we come...nope!  My truck has a broken fuel pump and would not start today.  Can't get it fixed til next week and I don't want to test it to tow the trailer 200+ miles each way.  So, not going to RONR as this was going to be a family camping weekend too.  No camping, I don't want to go up without my family.

I slept in and went out for a run at 6:15am with Moxie along Sunnyside. Easy to start then a decent pace for a few miles before running into Andrea and doing about 6 miles with her. 11.15 miles total before stopping by home and grabbing the family to run at Community Park. 3 miles with Katelyn and Kami then Justin and I went out to finish off 8 miles for him and I went solo to finish 8.85 for 20 miles of running for the morning. Fastwitch is my next marathon shoe.(Fastwitch Red).

In the early afternoon Kami and I went out for a solid 30 mile bike ride at 18MPH average through the roads towards Shelley. Great time with her but tough battling the headwind that developed.

Finished off the day with the family watching "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" tonight...good movie!

I met Craig at the corner at 6am and we ran a 10 mile river loop back to our house. We picked up Justin and ran 5 more for a total of 15 miles in 1:55.

Went out with Kami for a bike ride after breakfast and we rode 20 miles at an average 19MPH.

Yardwork and mowing lawn...I am tired!

Pool time with Katelyn...now for the beer! A good day!
