Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Sounds like a fun day!!!!

Unfortunately my little boy was kinda naughty at school today (in trying to show off for the older boys he chose poor vocabulary skills). So - I am going to surprise him tomorrow and show up for his recess. Wonder how much he's going to like hanging out with good 'ol Mom in front of all his friends?

(Should do the trick, right?)

When I read "a cool morning", it made me shiver. Partly because I'm sitting in front of an open window at the moment, and also because I am just not a fan of running in the fall or winter. How can I like it more?

Plus I don't like running in the dark early in the morning. I need to get over it and do it. I miss my morning outside runs. But I think you are the man still...for sure!

Teena, that should sufficiently damper his attitude, just don't embarass him in front of the guys or it may turn around stronger on you if he gets teased about Mom being there!

Lily, thanks...I don't like the cold and dark either but it has to be done. Soon it will be TM weather. Just try to find well lit and more frequently traveled routes and dark runs shouldn't be too bad (still a little spooky, I know!).
