Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

3.1 easy miles early on a beautiful morning.  Nothing special, just an easy taper run.  More miles at lunch today, some at MP.  (Ride Red)

5 miles at lunch on a wonderful day...70 degrees, sunny, light breeze!  3 easy miles, 2 at mid-MP for a nice easy run in 34 minutes.  Left hammy a bit tight, but the knee was good.  Splits: 7:12, 6:16, 6:17, 7:08, 7:07.

Hey, I drove through Pocatello this weekend on a family trip to Yellowstone. I thought to myself "This looks like a nice town, I could live here" then I saw a sign that said Sizzler was voted Pocatellos #1 Steakhouse, and I changed my mind :)

Good luck this weekend.

Rob, yeah Poky looks great from the highway but is less desireable once in town. IF is the opposite, looks like crappy from the freeway but nice once you get into town.

Sizzler, huh? The abode of fine cuisine!

Jeff,

I am looking for someone to take some bottles down to the elite table for me. We have a XC meet on Friday, so I won't be heading down there until later when the bottles are already being dropped off at the course. I don't know when you are heading down to SG, but I am in Cedar City. I could even meet you at an exit so it would not waste any of your time. Let me know. Thanks.

Greg, I could probably grab those from you when we head down on Thursday. Send me a private message with you phone number and I will call you when we are approaching Cedar City and we can try to hook up!

I'll just post it here. I don't mind if people see my number. 435-559-1769

About what time will you be heading down on Thursday? I just want to make sure that I have my bottles with me when you are heading through.

From jtshad on Mon, Sep 27, 2010 at 15:10:16 from 204.134.132.225

Not sure yet when exactly I will be coming through, I will call you when I know more.

Boy, looking at temperatures in St. George this weekend I think I'm glad I didn't get in.

Take an extra water bottle.
