Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

6M very slow and early on a nice morning.  Still just in recovery mode and today was a slog.  (Trigon)

Going to see Huey Lewis and the News at the State Fair tonight so today I have the "Heart of Rock and Roll"!

A little shocked today as I read in the paper that a running associate who recently joined our group was arrested for lewd conduct with a minor...what the ????  I pray the allegations prove false and for the family during this trying time.

6M at lunch on a great running day. Ran the entire time with Dan S. and about 4M with Pat B. Talked about work...ugh! Nice company, good pace (7:30ish) and feeling progressive better (about 90% back now).(Ride)

1M running back to the car at the fair to get Kami's ID so we can both enjoy a beer before the concert.    Huey Lewis and the News rocked!!!  Great music, really brought me back to my youth (except for all the old people standing around us!).  Great spot to watch, about 3 people back from the stage!

"slog" ...Delighted to see you are human. Totally in awe of you still.

Enjoy Huey; I've got Power of Love on my iPod Running Playlist.

Too bad about your running acquaintance. What a world, even if he is innocent!

I have the record Jeff. Take a picture of Huey Lewis if you can. I love his stuff. I wish I could go. Have fun. The recovery is looking good. Remember not to go too hard this week or next. I think this will freshen your legs for INDY.

Great Win again Saturday Jeff. Good JOB BUDDY!

Wow- if what I saw online is correct, it's one of your group that I know, right?

Jon, you met this person briefly at the Firecracker.

A bit surreal isn't it? The Boise media has already picked up the story. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out that its going to draw a ton of press. Hard to believe someone w/ so much going for her would do something so harmful and reckless.

From Jon on Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 17:31:55 from 138.64.2.76

Yeah, I found it fairly easily on the IF news sites. Like Jeff said, hope it's false.
