Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

11 degrees outside, too cold...8M on the TM at the gym at 6:28 pace...ugh!  Off to finish class at work on my day off.  (Stratos 3)

5M after work on a wonderful afternoon.  2M with my kids as they rode their bikes (really easy), then 3M in 1.5M laps around the neighborhood so I could swing by the house to check on them (Kami is at the gym).  Total time: 37:24.  (Stratos 2)

Jeff, I'm glad I am not the only one that opts for the treadmill on cruddy days. Good job!

It really wasn't that bad, I am just boycotting the cold since it is hard to warm up the muscles and wake up at the same time at 4:30 in the morning. Of course, I am equally tired of the TM!

I'm right there with ya. I never feel like I can get any decent speed in when it is that cold and I'm afraid of pulling something also.

Walter told me that he isn't going to Boston and that you were supposed to hang out with him, there will be a big group of us there that you can hang out with if you want.

Smart idea about the boycott. Have a great weekend.

Yeah, 2 deg (-6 windchill) in Logan today. Brrr.

I have you say you have been a mileage junkie this year...

Cold is getting old!

Jon - trying to get really ready for a good time in Boston.

Michelle - thanks, we will have to try to find a way to at least meet! There are 3 friends from Idaho Falls who are running and we are all staying at the same place (or close for one). A couple of us are staying longer (Fri-Wed) to take in the sights in Boston. As the date gets closer, we will have to coordinate more. Too bad about Walter, I was looking forward to running with him.
