Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

7M on the TM at the gym again this morning (icy and slick outside this morning).  2M warmup at 6:30ish pace, then the remaining 5M at MP (~6:05).  Feeling good, no issues to speak of...excited to head out tomorrow for the relay!

total time:  43:40  (Trigon - 454 miles)

5.35M at lunchtime around the river pathway on a warmer but still overcast day.  First 3M with Dan S, then I picked it up to about a 6:35 for remainder of the run.  Feeling good, just nice and easy for this run.

total time: 37:30  (Saucony T3 - 444 miles)

Dave Holt

Adam Wende

From Lybi on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 16:13:01

What a great team! I can't wait to see how it all goes. My official prediction is that you guys are going to blow everyone away!

Jeff, make sure everyone knows that they are invited for spaghetti dinner after the race at our house, would ya?

From jtshad on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 16:19:31

Right now I am sure everyone is planning on it. Thanks again for everything you and James are doing for the team.

BTW, is Steve staying with you on Thursday night or with us at the Hyatt in Scottsdale? I am so confused!!!

From Sasha Pachev on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 16:34:28

Latest update - Steve is staying at Hyatt and coming in Ted's van. Since you and Kory will be driving past his house in Sandy Wednesday night, we'll have you pick up him up on your way to Ted's. Give him a call at 801-554-8562 to finalize the details.

From jtshad on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 16:43:52

Sasha, I will call him later today and plan on picking him up. How about Walter?

From Jon on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 19:09:55

You guys are only taking 11?

From Sasha Pachev on Tue, Feb 26, 2008 at 19:56:55

Jon - We are taking 12. The above list does not have Ted.

Jeff - Walter will drive up early Thursday morning.

From Dustin on Wed, Feb 27, 2008 at 09:31:36

Good luck with Del Sol, I think you guys are going to have a great time. Have a safe trip.
