Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in  2025.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

Accidentally slept in because I forgot to set my alarm so I didn't get out the door until 5am (extra hour of sleep was nice though).  Only time enough for 5M in 34:04 so could home for Kami to workout (she didn't, wasn't feeling good).  I may try to get out at lunch if possible.  (Trigon)

4.5M on a beautiful day after taking my daughter to a doctor appointment.  42 degrees, no wind, lots of sun...ran in shorts and long sleeve tech shirt.  Ran at slow MP (6:27) for a total time of 29 minutes even.  Legs felt a little heavy but not bad.   Great day for a run, wanted to go longer but needed to get back to work before my lunch hour was over.  (Trigon)

Sleeping in to 5am is just a concept that I don't understand. It amazes me that you are so dedicated to get out that early every morning.

Sleep is good. Maybe your mind/body telling you something. Glad you were still able to get in the mileage you wanted for the day.
