Short-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running, enjoy it for the sake of running, relax and enjoy life...de-stress.  Stay fit as I enter retirement in < 4years.

No racing, retired.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running until this old body says no, running for fun.

Personal:

 I started running competitively in 2005 and ran my first marathon in 2005. Now retired from competitive racing.

Bend down, O Lord, and hear my prayer;

answer me, for I need your help.
Protect me, for I am devoted to you.
Save me, for I serve you and trust you.
You are my God.
Be merciful to me, O Lord,
for I am calling on you constantly.
Give me happiness, O Lord,
for I give myself to you.
O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive,
so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.
Listen closely to my prayer, O Lord;
hear my urgent cry.
I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble,
and you will answer me.  - Psalm 86:1-7

5M easy this morning before kids soccer games on a very foggy morning.  I kept having to wipe my glasses free of the moisture building up on them.

I had an unfortunate event last night.  I was at a store picking up some things and when I came out, someone had hit and run my truck and crushed the front bumper and grille of my truck and did not leave a note or wait around.  $500 of repairs (my deductible) that I was not planning on!

total time: 35:25  (Trigons - 114 miles)

1M while refereeing my kids soccer games.

2M running with my kids while they biked around the pathway at Community Park.  Kami ran 3M.

Sorry hear that, Seems like it's accident month on the blog or something. Fairly new truck or can you get a used bumper somewhere?

From Jon on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 10:46:06

That stinks! Same thing happened to Adam RW. One thing- lots of stores these days have parking lot surveillance cameras- it may be worth asking that store if they do. If so, you may be able to see who did it. Worth a shot, at least.

Sorry about the truck Jeff. I hate when my vehicles get bumped up.

From wheakory on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 13:47:36

Sorry about the vehicle and the expense. This happened to my brother and me last month at Walgreen's where his truck got hit while we were in the store. It damaged the whole right side and cost him over 1,000.

Walgreen's unfortunately didn't have any cameras outside just inside.

From Jim on Sat, May 10, 2008 at 16:49:36

Sorry to hear about the truck. Unfortunately this happens way too often these days. Hope you have some luck tracking down who hit you.
