Short-Term Running Goals:

Train for as solid a race in Boston 2011 as my schedule will allow. Accept the fact that there isn't room in my life to train for a breakthrough performance and do the best I can under the circumstances.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Lose the all-or-nothing mentality and start using running as an outlet instead of an additional source of stress.

I'm married with 4 kids (2 boys, 2 girls) and live in Salt Lake City, where I work as a real estate attorney.

It was raining lightly this morning, so of course Maja refused to join me. I ran out to the park, then continued on 13th to Parkway, up to Chadwick, up Stratford (like last week), but then continued on 17th East to 17th South, then down to 16th and through the neighborhood back home. It was close enough to an even 7 that I just had to run one street over and back when I got close to home in order to complete the mileage. It's a decent 7-mile loop to use in the future.

I should clarify that Maja is my dog. Occasionally I'll look at my blog and think that if I were reading the blog and didn't know that, I would think the blogger was a wife-beater, or at least a rather callous guy who was a pretty lousy friend.
