Got out late (7:15:37 AM) so just ran 4 around the hood. 74 degrees. Sweating buckets. Scaring walkers. More miles later...

 

Early lunch (10:58:49 AM).  Easy 8. Frickin' hot! Bluff trail. Probably the easiest pace I've run in a year..

I love the 7:15 and 37 seconds. You are hilarious. Why does it say asics 2140 miles...so should I log that i just bought new shoes somewhere? And how many miles do you usually put on a pair of shoes?

Carolyn - it's not hard to scare them. Just be male, have facial hair, sweat a lot, and run up from behind as quietly as possible!

Lysa - login and click on "Shoe Manager", the rest is self explanatory. As far as how many miles on shoes...there's a lot of discussion on that on the discussion forum somewhere. Personally I go anywhere from 400 to 600 miles on a pair. Once a shoe goes over 400 though, I tend to use them just for trail running, or treadmill. Each persons different. Sometimes when your legs seem to be sore all the time, it's a sign you need new shoes. Sasha, for some reason, can get thousands of miles out of his shoes.

Ha - scaring the walkers! Nice job getting out a second time today and running 8 miles when it was even warmer. Your pace is supposed to be 30 seconds per mile slower for every 5 degrees over 80 (I think its 80, maybe its 75, no that wouldn't make sense, would it). Whatever.
