"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Getting in some solid mileage...keep it up, Ogden is not that far away!

Thanks! Yeah, time flies when you're having...run.

Great job.

Is Buddy a canine?

I've got to try 2/days some time. Maybe in the summer.

From JD on Wed, Mar 18, 2009 at 22:27:48 from 32.176.23.115

Carolyn - yeah Buddy is a full white lab, 7 ish years old. He's a big love machine!

I'm going to ease in to doubles over the next few weeks, it's the only way to get the mileage I want with the time I have available.

Are you on the road to Utah yet?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Mar 19, 2009 at 11:44:38 from 198.241.156.7

I'm on the road tomorrow (Friday). I'll drive to Moab during the day, spend the night run, the race, then head up to Orem. I'll be in Kaysville on Wednesday. Is that near you? Maybe I could stop by your flower shop.

From JD on Thu, Mar 19, 2009 at 15:58:30 from 64.65.159.206

Carolyn - that would be very cool! The shop is called "Annie's main street floral" we're on the southeast corner of gentile and main st. in layton. Do you have family in Kaysville? My wife's family are all over the place around here.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Thu, Mar 19, 2009 at 15:59:50 from 198.241.217.15

I've got a friend who used to live in Colorado who lives in Kaysville now. I'm going to visit her on Wednesday. I'll try to stop by.
