"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

you are still tired. I read it takes about 20 or so days to fully recover from a marathon. Good job going though. You are in a better place than me right now, {mentally}

The fatigue from the marathon will wear off soon enough; just do enough running to keep yourself sane without doing so much that you get burned out. (but, then again, you already knew that, which makes this entire comment somewhat comical due to its shear existence, but, for what it's worth, it just helped me kill a few minutes in the office, which makes it entirely worth it, in my opinion, so I'll send some running karma your way for putting up with a slightly verbose but otherwise non-informative comment)

Enjoy basking in the glow of post-marathon recovery....

You are strong. And speedy. Enjoy the freedom of recovery.

You must be strong, your intervals are not pokey!!! Great job, hope you are back to long runs soon, or not. whatever you wish.

Lysa - I hope to get back at it quicker than 20 days. But we'll see.

Nevels - that was awesome. Verbiate anytime. (New word, of course).

Thanks Carolyn, I'm letting my recovery flag fly.

Kelli - my subconscious self is trying to atone for my slow marathon by running lots of MP lately. I hope to get a long run in the next couple of weeks. I'm so excited for your marathon!
