Vinton Woods loop - 9 miles w/ 5 tempo (7:08, 6:59, 7:07, 6:39, 6:33). 2.6 up and 1.4 down. Mile 1 was slow because I had to tell a shih tzu I refused to pace it if it kept yapping. Told it to go home.

Early to be doing workouts, but I needed something to snap me out of this running/existential funk and the weather was decent. I threw on my flats for the first time in 2 months, knowing they would get my legs moving. Effort was high, but doable.

Nothing like a workout to get you out of the marathon blues! I love short reps like 100s and 200s to get out of a mental funk (as well as for working on good form and turnover).

100s or 200s are what I probably should have done, but I didn't have much of a plan until I got to an area away from traffic. I think later this week I will do some short reps or up the number of strides to 10 because my form feels terrible. Got to be better than it was at mile 26 two weeks ago though!

Haha I sure hope so!

Gotta love those little yapping dogs. Love them, or kick them that is.

I'm sure the post-marathon blues will wear off soon and you'll be setting PRs again in no time.
