Broke out the flats for a 4 mile tempo today. Wanted to stay around 6:10s, but was way faster than that. I was just running easy and my splits were just fast, so thats always a good sign. Splits: 1- 5:45.6 2- 6:01.6 (11:47) 3- 6:05.8 (17:53) 4- 5:56.3 Total--23:49, 5:57 pace Overall, I am really happy with that. Its sad, but todays workout was not far off my last weekend 5k splits. I dunno, maybe Im turning into a longer distance runner. I feel better the longer I go and I even started running faster that 4th mile today. It was especially crazy how easy the first mile felt, i had to consciously slow up otherwise I'd of easily hit 5:30.
