afternoon - 10.5 on GreenSprings/WaterTank trail. A warm one. Started the run with one of my middle distance runners and then sent her on her way and continued on. Pace felt a little quicker than Monday, didn't time it though. Pushed a little more on the downhill - especially the S-Turn and Twin Lakes mile. Was a little weary of hitting a snake seeking shade in a bush, but luckily none. I want to work out my muscle soreness before leaving for Boston. (Landreth 109)

Dave, I've heard of the Canal Trail before, but I'm not quite sure where it starts and where it goes. If you can explain to me a little more about it. Thanks

Dave, Good luck in Boston, I had a great time there last year. Check out the north end area for great Italian food. The evening after the race, it was late, my family and another couple were eating in a small restaurant and while I was in the restroom a tall gentleman in a three piece suit came over from his table and talked to my kids and asked if I raced. He asked how I did, gave congrats and said to tell me to keep it up and left. When I got back to the table they told me what he had said and I waved to him as he left. It turned out that he was Alan Culpepper, and had a pretty good day himself. I'm not running there this year. Last year it was my kick off to 8 marathons in 7 months, not recommended. You have trained well just run it like any race but enjoy yourself. It is a different race and can bring great memories.
