Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

I ran two miles w/ Lybi and Paige around Lybi's neighborhood. It was still a little hot at 8:45pm. I promised them by my birthday (this weekend) that it'd be nice in the evenings. It was lovely to talk and laugh w/ them, as usual. They went slow w/ me, taking more than 27min all-together. Obviously this involved some walking.

I really hope to get out more regularly in the nicer weather. It thrills me to enjoy the outdoors after a fried-egg-on-the-sidewalk summer. )

I'm so glad you are still on the blog. Are you finding it a bit easier than it was in the beginning? I'll never forget those first horrible runs when I started up after my first baby....I remember walking around during the day and just being grateful that I wasn't running!!

Happy Birthday, Holly! You seem so much more mature today than Saturday. (JK) Cute picture, is that Ella he is holding? She looks like she is thinking "We are NOT amused!" Or maybe "This whole earth-life thing is harder than it looks..."

Sarah, I'm glad to be here, too, and that you're reading my blog! I feel like we have so many things to talk about and learn from each other it's really hard to do just on a blog!

The running is easier, but not a whole lot easier, because I haven't been doing it enough. I hope it'll get better as I do it more frequently and possibly in the early mornings.

Lybi, I feel my bday has been VERY properly celebrated this year! It's so nice to have lots of friends and family who care and celebrate w/ me! Thanks. :) No, it's not Ella -- he's only 3, so it's a "'nother brother," (-dave & the giant pickle) er, sister.:) I'm a little shy to have all their names on the internet. Yeah, she was not happy about big brother holding her. Mommies are better at that, you know. ;)
