Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

They weren't running miles -- they were rollerblading. Since I DID feel my knee that day, just going about my business, I was nervous to pound the pavement by running. I also had a bad afternoon and needed to fly a little. :)

I went w/ Paige and my sister. We went even further with Paige than with Lybi. Paige kept up pretty well, and even declared a Gurr sister race (we married brothers). Poor Paige blew a wheel halfway back to my sister's house, and had to carry her skates and run in her socks! She was back there, biding her time, while we rollerbladed alternating fast and slow so we wouldn't get too far ahead of her. Then, all of the sudden, she passed us, running like her LEGS were wheels, saying, "Wanna race, girls?" :D It was amazing and so funny! She was ultra-fast. I tried, but couldn't THINK of beating her on rollerblades (at least not from the speed I was starting at... but maybe not at all). It was fun to see that side of Paige. She is super-sweet, but at that point, I saw she knew how to have fun being competitive, too.

do you happen to also live next door to each other? My sister and I always dreamt we would marry twin brothers and live next door and maybe have our own business together too.

Now we just have a dream of recording a CD together since we married two completely different men and only see eachother occasionally. Fun blog...enjoyed reading it.

No, my sister and I don't live quite that close, but we are only a couple miles apart, now. We have been trying for years to live closeby one another, and this is the closest we've gotten so far. It's kind of ironic, because our lives are SO different, now. I mean, she is still a mother, and still very connected to our parents and somewhat connected to our inlaws, even, but now she is a single mom, and has to work and isn't into church -- things are so different. I'm still glad we have each other, though. I wasn't the nicest big sister when I was a child (I was not a bully, but a recluse8P), and I will probably be trying to make up for that for the rest of our lives. I watch my children play and ache to have shared more with my own sister when we were little.

I have dreamed with my best friend from way back of making a cd together (we don't get together a whole lot, anymore). She's a soprano and I'm an alto. We like each other's voices and love to blend. That dream has still not come to fruition, but it may. I am set on bringing more of my good dreams to fruition. I am not only a mother, but a person I'd like to get back in touch with. :)

I'm glad you liked my blog. 8) I enjoy your comments.

I can make a CD of you guys (either of you) from my computer...actually, my friend D'Net has an amazing set-up in her piano studio, and she's very generous. You'd get better acoustics there. The only thing is that you must live very close by to work on it. (He he he.)

That's awesome, Lybi! I've gotta tell Robyn!

That's it, Sarah! You've got to move here! Now we just have to tell Sasha... ;)

We've talked about getting a winter home in Arizona...we'll just have to wait until there's a million people on the blog and we'll see about it...

From Holly on Mon, Aug 27, 2007 at 13:08:23

Yes! And since you live in Utah, winter starts, like, next week, and ends somewhere around April! Woo-hoo! hehe

Wait, a MILLION people?! That's too big! And what, may I ask, does that have to do with the price of beans in China?

From sarah on Mon, Aug 27, 2007 at 18:03:45

Well...Sasha has pretty much axed my plans but we can still keep dreaming...you guys could always move out here? It's pleasant in May and September...

Sasha makes a teeny tiny bit of money from the ads on his website...we don't really want a million people on it but as the traffic increases the ads pay a tiny bit more. The blog is a wonderful hobby Sasha has and if it could be his full time job we would be thrilled...mostly because he loves it but also because he could stop programming for other people and make his own decisions...you know that good ol' American dream...Nice talking to you as always...have a good day.
