Running Accomplishments:

'Just started! -Again!

Short-Term Running Goals:

Increase my energy levels so that I can keep up with my demanding jobs (Mother of Five, Wife of Father of Five, Chef, Housekeeper, Uncertified Phone Counselor, to name a few:). Strengthen my heart and improve my circulation. Grow some muscles! (It's about time!) Run four miles at once... sometime in the next 2 yrs, anyway. :)

Long-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to still have the strength and energy to do things when I'm old. I'd also like to stay in one peice until then!

Personal:

I have been married almost 9 years to Practically-Perfect Jeremy. We have five dear children 7yo and under. I rollerbladed as a teenager. For 18 mo, I walked a few times a week until about a year ago. I tried running w/ wonderful running partner last year, but that tapered off. We had a hard time matching schedules and I wasn't committed enough to do it alone. After an inspiring meeting with Sasha and Sarah, I am recommitted to regular exercise. I may run, or I may fast-walk. The point is to get MOVING, again. Please bear with my pitiful mileage. Supermommy runs all day, and doing that properly is my #1 priority.

The fast mile, as Lybi called it, was ROLLERBLADING! hehe I LOVED rollerblading as a teen! It was such a blast. THAT is flying! My sister's been wanting to get out and exercise, so Lybi and I took our little red contagious exercise wagon to HER neighborhood (not literally... well, not exactly) and joined her in her preferred form of exercise! She had fun and so did we. THEN, at all hours of the night, we ran two miles more by Lybi's house. dah! That was a little crazy, and my knee did not like it. I could have stopped earlier, but I didn't feel tired until JUST before it hurt. It feels OK as I walk around today, so I'm hoping I can run on it tonight without a problem. That's my first injury. lol I didn't even DO anything!

Just keep in mind, Sarah, that she is an absolute SPEED DEMON on rollerblades. You definitely need a helmet and probably a crash suit to rollerblade with Holly safely--at least I do.

Ooh! Fun, Sarah! You gotta bring your blades next time you come to Mesa! I'd love to 'blade w/ you!

I am not feeling particularly fast this morning, because Paige AND my sister beat me in short, unofficial races last night. lol Paige was on foot. My sister, who hasn't been running and has rollerbladed SOME lately, but I thought I would surely beat, blew me away in the Gurr Sister race around a bend in her neighborhood. It was fun, anyway, though.
