Married with two children, one in high school, one in college, one in grad school on her own out in the real world. My lovely and gracious wife is a professional body builder (100% natural). If I trained half as hard as she does, I really would be fast. I make my living as a self employed geophysicist.

Welcome to the blog. I assume you're taking about Jeff Shadley. What does a self employed geophysicist do to make a living?

Hey, welcome to the blog! Great folks on here and a great way to track your running. Hope to run again with you soon.

I had not met Jeff before our run. Nice guy.
Geophysicists use remote sensing techniques to characterize geology, locate buried objects, and determine soil and rock properties. My customers are civil engineers, geologists, and hydrologists. Most of the work is for engineering applications, some environmental work.

Cool. I'm a civil engineer and have just opened my own practice doing residential grading and drainage plans.
