Adventure work out day.  Wanted to see something new so went up Big Cottonwood Canyon and went to Lake Blanche.  Stunning area.  Beautiful groves of quaking aspen, cool lake, impressive and looming Sundial Peak over the Lake.  Going up is a pretty steady grind and was mostly the power hike....tried to push it though.  Rises 2700 feet in 3 miles.  Cool jaunt down by the lake, took in views then back running down the trail.  Was only 100 feet from the bottom of the trail when my tired legs tripped on a rock and I took a dive.  Banged shoulder, thigh, knee, hands and had a recurrence of the calf muscle spasm O' pain...but nothing permanent or cranial.  Fun day.

I love that trail. The Sundial is one of my favorite peaks. This has inspired me to get up there and hit it before the snow flies. Nice run G.
