| Today we ran up on Bonneville. It was covered in snow, but just the right amount so it was fun to run on, and was actually quite warm. Warm enough that Will and Chris took off their tights and ran in their underwear for most of it haha. I had to go to the bathroom midway through so I broke off headed down to the canal, then met back up with everyone at the dip. Afterwards we went and took our team pic for nike ( We got an at large bid if you hadn't heard!!!) up by lambert. we were all wearing turtlenecks and I think it's pretty smooth, but Jamison and Ryan don't like it for some reason. |

| 2 mile warm up then 8x400. Felt good and smooth, probly cuz I was wearing my #palmerridgexc shirt. Times were 66, 65, 65, 66, 65, 64, 63, 62. On our cool down we went and tested the ice on the pond, and Craik and Zack were able to get pretty far out. |

| Ran down to AF, did a lap on the grass relays course, and ran back. The AF JV boys were out playing wallball so we joined and played for 5 minutes. Craik got out like six times so everybody got to line up and chuck the ball at him. Sadly the line was pretty far away so nobody made contact. Our plane leaves at 6:25 tomorrow, so we are meeting at 4:20 in the morning which will be rough. Go check out our team pic on dyestats instagram page, it's most excellent if I do say so myself. |

| Arrived in Portland at about 7:30 and went to the hotel and got settled. We were the first team to arrive so we headed out to nike headquarters and were like the second team to get our gear. for our run we ran around nike campus on these cool woodchip trails, then did our 3, 2, 1 minute workout on the Michael Johnson track. Ive always wanted to run on this track and it was just as cool as I've always imagined. We were going pretty fast just cuz of the setting and low elevation and everything, and we ran like a 2:52 1000 on our 3 minute one. Afterwards we cooled down and went back to the hotel.

| Ran the course today. It's a pretty cool course, its got some good hills and stuff. We finished and chilled in the warmup area for a while before heading back to the hotel, and then heading over to headquarters. We played some ping pong and walked around the campus with the Timpanogos guys which was fun. For dinner Andrew Wheating ate with us and shared some cool stories.

| Race day! We got to the course amd chilled in the warmup area until the girls race, then went out and watched. We had to do these introduction things so we warmed up like thirty minutes before the race and then just chillled and kept warm. Race went off and I got horrible position. I definitely should have gone out harder because i was in the very back after 400. I moved up throughout the first mile and came through in 4:55, which was just about perfect. the second mile was tough, lots of mud and stuff, and i came through in about 10:15 I think. The last mile my legs were just dead from all the mud and i just tried to hang on and hold my position, and i ended up passing some people. The last hill right before 200 to go was rough but once i got over it i kicked pretty hard and held off a couple of guys charging in behind me. My time was 16:14, so not too fast, but I was happy with it considering how muddy it was. the team ended up getting 11th which was higher than anybody had us projected to get so that was cool. Utah had a great day with Casey and Alek going 1-3, and AF and Timpanogos getting 2nd and 5th. Afterwards went on a cooldown with all of the Soutwest guys. Talked to Joe Benson and Paxton Smith, and we all may be going to college together so that could be fun. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel with the heartland guys. That night was awards and the Southwest killed everyone on the guys side. We got back to the hotel then went to the dance from like 9 to midnight. I danced the whole time and by the time I was done I was more exhausted than I was after the race haha.
