This was a VERY small race put on by employees at the Department of Agriculture. With a race this small, it's all about who shows up. I was no where close to the winner but luckily the fast runner that showed up was a woman, a local elite who finished a minute ahead of me without breaking a sweet (it was 87°). So I am slow but was the fastest slow guy today. My $5 entry got me a $25 gift certificate and a small bag of groceries. Woo Hoo. (Course probably long.
