Today's tempo run was a dud, bomb, bust, flop, lemon, debacle, flub, bummer, failure, fiasco, disaster, tragedy, calamity, catastrophe, train wreck, cataclysm...  Well maybe it wasn't all that but it was poor.  My head wasn't in it.  I had no strength and no turn over. I started slow, finished slower, and dogged every mile in between.  I am not sure why I couldn't move.  I really can think of no good reason for it.  I am sure glad it wasn't race day.

Ave pace- 7:48, about 40 seconds slower than it should have been.   Every split was my slowest of this training cycle. I don't think I'll even record them.

On the bright side, this run is done and now behind me, thankfully!

Just one of those days, we all have them. Way to stick it out!

So, how did you feel during your run? Sorry it was a rough one. Just one of those days.

Thanks ACorn and Andy. I've had enough good runs this training cycle to dismiss this as just one of those days.

During the run my mind was wandering and I kept "waking up" thinking I need to pick up the pace. Which I would do... for a few pace. By the end of the run I just could not get my legs to move. I didn't feel exhausted but felt like I was running much faster than I really was.

Next time run down the hill, instead. Ha ha.

Glad you survived the debacle.

So any good run to report on yet?
