I've found that if I at least make a goal for miles per week, that works pretty well, even if I don't have a goal race in mind...

I'd give my right arm to be able to run 5 miles, keep it up.

I've managed to keep my weekly mileage in the 40s. But I won't start training for anything til March 1st because we'll be driving down Baja for a good part of February and I don't know when I'll find time to run. :)
