The section of the Jordan River Parkway where I run, cuts through the Rose Park Golf Course.  The trail actually crosses directly infront of one of the tees!  Thus far I haven't been hit by any golf balls and I've only had one minor exchange of unpleasantries with a golfer.  This section of the trail used to be unmarked but when the city paved the trail they also added warning signs at the tee and safety fencing elsewhere (the trail is too close to the tee for any fencing) .  The clubhouse makes a convient place to soak my singlet with cool water.

91 degrees?!!! Glad you wet your singlet with clubhouse water instead of river sluge. GREAT RUN! The JRP in Lehi crosses the Thanksgiving Point Golf Course. On Fri. I ran by one of the Tees. The nice golfer waited until I passed before hitting his ball across the river. His partners were all smiles. I wondered if I could have gotten hit.

All I have to say about golf is this: men in ugly pants, W-A-L-K-I-N-G!!!!

Smooth, I assumed that it was just our slummy section of the trail that was so poorly planed as to cross in front of a golf tee. I guess we'd better both look out. A golf ball to the head can kill you dead.

MrsFIT, They don't even walk in those ugly pants. They ride around in carts.

Hey hey now ...

I love golf!!!! And ... I don't think the pants are ugly either!!!

And absolutely nothing wrong with carts ... especially if you ran a bunch of miles before going golfing!!!

C'mon now ... :)

Those pants are not ugly on you and your golf mates but you are not the average Rose Park golfer. And, I'm betting none of them have just run any miles. I've been golfing once and from this I know that the golf cart's most important function is to carry the cooler. You can also stand on the roof to try and reach and retrieve your clubs. ;)

Training continues to look good. I think we can get a group willing to follow your lead at SGM.

Golfers are lame....nice run fly. The heat you run in is worse than mine here in Vegas.....of course I don't run in the middle of the afternoon.

Jeff ... you are so breaking my heart ... golfers are not lame!!! What is going on here??? :)

Fly -- you're a riot!!! :)

RP- Follow my lead? About the only thing I like to lead is my shadow and I often have difficulty with that.

Jeff- I just get done what I have to when ever I can.

Teena- I don't think anyone actually dislikes golfers but sometimes it is fun to shoot fish in a barrel.

Sorry Teena......'grumpy' golfers are lame.
