am: last workout of the week. 6x800's at race pace (2:18) I've been really nervous for this workout cause it look scary from the outside. we had a 2 mile warm up and cool down. the workout wasn't very impressive: 2:20, 2:23, 2:21, 2:22, 2:26, 2:19.

i tried so hard to push myself into a groove and get my legs rolling, but i just couldn't do it. i only got close the last one because of byron, who took the lead at the beginning and made me run a fast first lap, then continued to push it to the end.

race is this week and i want to get state qualifyings. but looking at the people that are going, there isn't anyone besides our team that has runners that look like they will do it. I cant depend on others to get my time, i have to be able to push myself. i cant run like i did today.

pm: 3 felt very very good.

Suit up about the other people! I already yelled at you about that... This is your opportunity to run YOUR race and get YOUR times and get the feet wet for the year in a real race situation. Every negative thing you say your body and mind hear and will use it as an excuse when it comes time to feel the pain during the race.
