Short-Term Running Goals: -Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape. Long-Term Running Goals: -Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.
-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.
Personal: I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :) |

| | Holy crow, today I ran way better than my cruddy workouts last week. We did 8 by 400 on the outdoor track (thank goodness, it was 45 degrees and felt wonderful) with 90 seconds rest. I ran 62, 62, 63, 61, 61, 63, 62, and 60. Averages out to a bit under 62. Still not completely satisfied, I would have liked to closed in 58 or maybe even faster but oh well. Weights/IR/IP

| | 10 miles on my own since I was at the econ lab till 4:30. Can't wait till break when I can really spend more time focusing on running since there won't be any school work.

| | Well, it's apparent that over my break I lost a little of my ability to run long and hard. I ran 26:12 for the just under 5 mile tempo lake loop today, 20 seconds slower than last time. It'll come back. Good news though is that the event I'll be running takes about 4 minutes. Which is nice. Weights
