This run felt a lot better than most have in the last few weeks. I just need to lose 20 pounds and not try to force too much running too soon.

| | 8 miles, avg pace 7:41. Im finding some decent routes around my house. But no matter where I go or which direction I go from my house, its a hill workout. Not super long and steep hills, but every road is either a long hill, or has a bunch of short steep rollers. I never would have thought that Ohio would have more hills than Idaho or Utah. No mountains, but tons of hills!

I almost didn't do this run. It is raining, cold, and dark. I told my wife I was going to go running, then I turned to go sit down. The thought crossed my mind that my running goals don't include being a pansy about the rain and cold. So I changed and went running.
I spit on a cars windshield. I probably passed (or they passed me) close to 100 cars on one road, and all but one were kind enough (the drivers were kind, not the cars themselves) to give me a little room. But one car gave me less room. They were driving close to the middle of the road, but when they saw me they moved way to the right. So I spit on their windshield as they passed. It was raining lighty, so they porbably didn't even notice.

| | 8 miles. My watch died at abou 7.05 miles and I was averaging about 7:32/mile at that point. I may have gotten down to 7:31 at the end of 8. I could have tackled a deer at about mile 2.5. There were 2 on the side of the road, 1 ran to the other side of the road but the other one just looked at me as I ran by. Maybe next time I will tackle it just to say I have tackled a deer.
I haven't been running since Tuesday night because I played basketball Wednesday morning for 2 hours and I have been incredibly sore since then. When I sat down after my run, my left hamstrings started to scream at me. So I guess I wasn't quite recovered from basketball yet.
My plan is to try and get a group of guys to play basketball with once a week. My entire body was sore, including arms and back. So I guess it was a good full body work out.

No school today, so I was finally able to get a run in. In fact, I am done with school until after new years. I just have 6 finals to take in the next 2 weeks.
