If you do run friday, keep it slow and not far. You know you can go the distance. Focus on having your body feel good for the race. I usually will run 2-3 miles slow before a half marathon. Not trying to go and test your speed, just to shake out the energy.....keep fresh and have a great race. I know you will!

sounds like a good little run before your HM!

Good luck this weekend Eric, I'll be cheering you on from my beach campsite!

Eric, I just saw you ran 17 miles the weekend before your race? Was that planned, did you get advice from any of the blog's experts? I'm not sure how much to run this weekend, since I'm racing a half marathon next weekend... I was going to do only 10 for my long run, not sure if that's optimal...

Lucia, Nope, nobody's advice. Probably not the best idea to run 17 miles the weekend before, but it was at a very easy pace. I think 10 easy will be fine or even better than what I did...I will cheer for you next weekend from Puerto Vallarta & my pinia colada.
