Long term...mmm...hard one, just continue running and having the luck a running races to keep on the edge, every so often.

i've found that with quad soreness it just takes time. i'm sure the icing is helping speed the recovery process though. good luck. also, a run is a run -- when your body says super slow it's okay to go super slow.

Do you think I have it in me to pull of a sub 4:00 marathon in June? Do you think my training is "good enough"?

i think you can absolutely hit the sub-4 next month. you have been putting in some solid and consistent training, and your daily km/mileage is looking good. just keep building that endurance up with weekly long runs and you should be able to smash through the 4:00 mark. the speed is there.
