10 x state champion in high school (way back in the day!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run an Olympic Trials Qualifier in the marathon.

I would also like to run on one more international team before I pack it in!

 Stay healthy!  (My biggest challenge!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run my whole life, and then live vicariously through my children. (just kidding) , but I do want to pass on a healthy lifestyle to them.

Help coach East High to a state championship. (hope it doesn't take a lifetime!)

Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

I've been bit by an extremely unmotivated lazy bug.  Actually, I'm really just giving some of my other life's priorities a bit of attention.  Still, I really need to get back on the training wagon.  5.6 miles, 6:58 pace.  At least my pace is picking up!

The BYU Hall of Fame Induction is tonight.  I'm really excited to see all my former teammates.  This is such a huge honor.  Only three other teams in BYU history have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.  Tonight, 4 national championship cross country teams will join the ranks. I can't wait!

you are still less than three weeks out from the race, and lazy bug mode is totally acceptable for as long as you need it (especially after a 2:40 marathon!)

that is so cool about the hall of fame induction -- congratulations.

Have fun tonight! I know you've been excited for it. Have fun with your girls and relive those glory days! You guys were (and still are) awesome!

Your time off was much deserved and sometimes necessary Emily.
