I met Jenny at Murray High for a track work out, only to find out that the track is completely torn up. So, we had a change of plans. We ran down to Murray Park and did a fartlek workout. We ran 2 sets of 1-2-3-2-1 minute intervals with 1-1-2-1-1 minute recoveries. We practiced the hill up to Vine St. on State St. so that we will be all ready for the Murray 5k. The workout was a good mix of hills, soft surfaces, some trail, and some pavement. Then, we cooled down back to Murray High School and hit 7 miles total. I got into St. George Marathon. I am both excited and extremely nervous! |
