Personal:

I met Jenny at Murray High for a track work out, only to find out that the track is completely torn up.  So, we had a change of plans.  We ran down to Murray Park and did a fartlek workout.  We ran 2 sets of 1-2-3-2-1 minute intervals with 1-1-2-1-1 minute recoveries.  We practiced the hill up to Vine St. on State St. so that we will be all ready for the Murray 5k.  The workout was a good mix of hills, soft surfaces, some trail, and some pavement.    Then, we cooled down back to Murray High School and hit 7 miles total.

I got into St. George Marathon.  I am both excited and extremely nervous!

Hey Emily! Congrats on getting in to St. George! Looks like your training is going well. How old is your baby now?

That's great... marathon debut! :-)

Myles is three months old, so I'm just getting back into the swing of things. I'm not expecting miraculously fast times at St. George, but I thought it would be fun to run my first marathon with no pressure to hit certain times.
