Rainy morning. I ran on the treadmill. I wanted to put some turnover work into the run so I can start getting used to faster paces again. I started at 8.0 mph and increased .1 every half mile. Every 5 minutes I threw in a minute long surge, starting at 10.0 mph and increasing .1 every interval. I did 10 sets, so finished at 10.9 mph or 5:30 pace. It wasn't too bad except for at the end, when I only backed down to 6:20-6:30 pace. Total time for 8 miles: 52:57. |
