Personal:

I've been running since I was nine.  I'm married to a fellow runner who inspires and supports me.  We have two children:  Cole (4) and Lily (18 mos.)  I help Bill Cobler coach cross country at East High School.

It was very warm and windy today. I ditched my shirt halfway through the run and exposed the world to my flabby white belly.  Sexy!  I ran out 1300W to 7800S (into the wind) and down to the river trail.  Then, I enjoyed clicking off 3.5 quick miles with the wind at my back along the trail.  I left the trail at Millrace Park, ran through the neighborhood to Redwood Road.  When I crossed Redwood Road I put my shirt back on so that I wouldn't scare my neighbors, and ran home.

I stole your 200s idea today, and thought about doing 21, but decided it wouldnt be fair b/c then you'd have to do 22 next week :-)

Glad you could use my 200 workout. I had a coach that implemented 200's about once a week, and it made a huge difference in building speed. But, I won't be adding 2 more next week. You already have me beat in the one-upping.

I've tried to get a set of 200s in every week during the marathon buildups... I don't want to get to the point where I can run 5:15 pace forever but can't go any faster! Plus, I think they take your legs through the full range of motions, which actually helps me stay loose and I believe the faster efforts actually help keep me healthier.

You did your 200s at 5-o-something AM, so I think its a tie in the one-upping contest :-)
