Running Accomplishments:

I'm a 40+ "used to be"...

7 years ago had BAD case of frostbite and nearly lost my feet.  Stopped running (obviously) & gained LOTS of weight.  Started jogging again when local community club needed a coach and found out that exercise helped to increase circulation in my affected areas as well as decreased overall weight which helped to take pressure off my feet.  Still deal with neuropathy and Reynauds--but do not take ANY pain meds to manage the pain.  Gotta' love running!!!

SO, any past accomplishments do not matter....only that I can get ut the door almost every day and run another run.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Currently building base to lead up to traditional Marathon

Goals:

Have not yet decided on race schedule for this year, but am shifting focus from ultras to trying to nail down some shorter speedy races and a tradtional marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for as long as I can & share the knowledge that God has graced me with by continuing to coach as well.

Personal:

Son:  Drew...currently runs for Adam's State!!

Currently Coaching:  Revolution Running

Day Job:  St. Joe's Veteran's Home

Hills!

Felt really, really tired today.  Glad that I have a cut down week next...

Ran a bit over 2 miles to our "hill"--it is quite steep and goes for at least .75

4 X 3:00 with jog down rest at "steady".  Phew!  KICKEd our butts...Took a  quick drink break up top, jogged down then did 4 x 1:15 at "hard" was supposed to be "quick" but we were not feeling it!

Ran back 2 miles VERY slowly...

SO, Drew went to a play tonight (cuz there's this girl...) and is leaving for Albuquerque tomorrow morning for D2 Indoor Nationals AND it is the start of their spring break (worry, worry, worry)  Hopefully he will be able to come home for a few days, but it's up to coach...

Thanks Scott-so very tired...my hills are pitiful in comparison to what you do daily...did I mention tired?

Just heard from Drew-ster and sounds like he has his hotel room all to himself, as his buddies bailed..defnitely the right decision as he does not party, but he was pretty depressed. He's also worried about his ride back at this point...tough to be a square in a round world...but definitely good. Just hope I don't have to drive to ALB this weekend...now that the mother hen is no longer worried, I can sleep...
