Running Accomplishments:

I'm a 40+ "used to be"...

7 years ago had BAD case of frostbite and nearly lost my feet.  Stopped running (obviously) & gained LOTS of weight.  Started jogging again when local community club needed a coach and found out that exercise helped to increase circulation in my affected areas as well as decreased overall weight which helped to take pressure off my feet.  Still deal with neuropathy and Reynauds--but do not take ANY pain meds to manage the pain.  Gotta' love running!!!

SO, any past accomplishments do not matter....only that I can get ut the door almost every day and run another run.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Currently building base to lead up to traditional Marathon

Goals:

Have not yet decided on race schedule for this year, but am shifting focus from ultras to trying to nail down some shorter speedy races and a tradtional marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep running for as long as I can & share the knowledge that God has graced me with by continuing to coach as well.

Personal:

Son:  Drew...currently runs for Adam's State!!

Currently Coaching:  Revolution Running

Day Job:  St. Joe's Veteran's Home

Adams State Video Series

RunnerSpace is doing a series on  my son's College XC/track team (the winningest team EVER!)

 http://www.runnerspace.com/video.php?do=view&video_id=38064#ooid=RlMjBiMjpQr4WMBceoi5WwKkwZwldLzl

SO, Drew is wearing black puma tank with forest green shorts.  At 1:17, he has a green long sleeve/ half zip looking at the van; at 1:44 he has messy hair standing behind Coach Martin.  At 3:08 he is in motion; sharing the lead at 4:02--I'm such a proud mama!  (I should add that this was taped just a couple of weeks ago--BeAUTIFUL Colorado sunshine!!)

Pre-race run

If the weather holds out, I am planning to race a 10 miler in Pueblo tomorrow morning.  Jogged over to Harriman lake, ran around once and jogged back.  4 x 100m strides.

Very cool! I really liked the vid. You should be extremely proud!

Hope your race went well ... Did you happen to stop and get some goat cheese on your way to Pueblo? LOVE that drive, love that freshly made goat cheese (there used to be dozens of little roadside stands that sold it on that route).

Thanks guys! Braun-ey is now training with Mcmillan Elite, so the boys do not see him much...but Zoila Gomez, Fernando Cabada and mario Macias are still trianing there. Brian Medigovich (now hansons) is still living in Alamosa but being trained by the Hansons. It's an amazing running mecca...

Bonnie-we went out there at 5:00 am and on the way back were too tired to do anything...plus bad weather is rolling in, so we had to make it back here in time....NEXT time, though!

AND, yes...very proud of my boy!
