I did another HIIT on the treadmill today. Yay! I did a warm-up run of 1 mile in 10:04, then stopped to stretch. Then I started the 20 minute HIIT, but this time I warm-ed up at 6.0 MPH, and topped off at 10.0 MPH. It felt great to do a good sprint! After the HIIT, I continued cooling down for another .16 miles, making my total miles for the day 3.6. I want to do more with burst training, since the pro athlete we had dinner with the other night (Matt Lieto) said that interval work is ALL the training he does. :D |
