I tried out my new running shoes today. They are great! I didn't take my Garmin with me b/c I didn't want to be upset about how slow I was probably running. So I just took my time and tried to enjoy myself. I ran the 3-mile route I usually run in 29 minutes and 3 seconds (I used the timer on my ipod). My knee felt pretty good until the climb back into my neighborhood so I walked/jogged the last 1/2 mile. I didn't really feel much pain, just some tightness. I don't have a race scheduled. Does anyone know of a good race more toward the end of the summer? I want to schedule something so I can get back into running, but I don't want to push myself too much too fast. Any ideas? |
