Your babies?

From ebates on Tue, May 29, 2012 at 21:28:42 from 69.169.146.80

Nope. My nephews (2 yr old and 9 week old). Just giving my sister some running time without the jogger. Hats off to the mother-runners out there.

Ahh. I was thinking you would have had to be fast at recovery to have twins and then run UVM.

I'm not even married, so a baby or two would be quite a surprise. I'd claim my nephews in a heartbeat though :-)

Oh, sorry. I thought I'd heard through the grapevine that you'd gotten married. Anyway, good job on your running. I wish I ran intervals as consistently as you do. I'm close to the new U of U track, but I never seem to make it down there.

I did get married briefly. He became abusive within the first week and I found that he had 5 fake facebook accounts (in which he was single), he was still online dating, and some other things that can't be mentioned here. I got the marriage annulled after 2 of the scariest months of my life. Took about a year and a half to get back into my joys of life. The races are evidence that I'm doing well again. :-) Turns out, you can't judge a book by its cover.

I see. Sorry to hear about that. But I'm glad you're able to get back into happy things, including your awesome running.

By the way, my postdoc advisor, Andrea Bild, mentioned you had invited her to speak at BYU. But I never heard anything about it. It's probably too late now, but I can ask her about it if you want.

Cool that you work for Andrea. I think we decided that it work best if she came next fall. Are you working on Lung Cancer by any chance? I have a cool new project that deals with that.

From Steve Piccolo on Tue, May 29, 2012 at 23:18:02 from 67.2.73.196

I haven't done much with lung cancer yet. I've mostly been working on breast cancer. But I am supposed to start helping her with a lung data set (RNA-Seq) tomorrow. If you end up doing any high-throughput sequencing or microarray analysis (or bioinformatics in general), I'm happy to give you some tips if you need them.
